Welcome to the research work by two academics and a Learning Technologist employed by one of the United Kingdom’s growing University. Brian Smith Senior Lecturer & Senior Solstice Fellow, Christopher Jones Senior Lecturer & Solstice Fellow and Peter Reed Learning Technologist began extensive research studies into a hypothesis they have contemplated and later discovered within their online and classroom teaching and learning.


As there is growing interest in ‘Mode Neutral’ from many academics, technologists, instructional designers and learners, the intention of this website is to share our findings and hope others contribute by discussing their application of Mode Neutral. You will find some of our work in published journals and perhaps hear us presenting and international conferences.
